FAQs
What do you do?
I write bespoke running programmes and coach runners who want to build consistency. That means working out what you need, writing a plan that fits your life, and helping you deal with the things that get in the way of sticking to it.
Who is this for?
Runners who keep stopping and starting. People who’ve done races but never trained properly for them. Anyone who wants to run consistently and hasn’t worked out how yet. You don’t need to be fast or experienced; you need to want to make it stick.
What does a programme include?
It depends on what you need. Every programme I write is bespoke. It could be a written plan you follow independently, a plan with regular check-ins so we can adapt it as you go, running accountability coaching if mindset and consistency are the main barriers, or in-person sessions if you’re in central Scotland and that’s how things would work best for you. Most runners combine two or three of these.
How much does it cost?
Programmes start from £60. The price depends on what’s involved and how long we work together. Book a free introductory call and I’ll give you a clear idea of what I’d recommend and what it would cost. There is no obligation to work with me, the call is free for your to explore your options.
What qualifications do you have?
I am a Scottish Athletics qualified Coach in Running Fitness and Coaching Assistant, and a McMillan Certified Running Coach. I also have a Personal Performance Diploma in Life Coaching, an NLP Practitioner qualification, a Positive Psychology and Coaching CPD, and a BSc (Hons) in Psychology. My particular interest is motivation and habits, which is what brings the mindset side into the run coaching.
Do you offer virtual coaching?
Yes. Most of my coaching is done remotely; we talk by video call and I write your programme based on those conversations. If you’re in central Scotland and in-person sessions would benefit you, we can build those in.
How often will we speak?
That depends on the programme. For check-in programmes we’d typically review fortnightly. For accountability coaching we’d agree a rhythm that suits you. We work it out together on the introductory call.
I’ve tried plans before and they haven’t worked
That’s usually because they weren’t built specifically for you. Generic plans assume the same schedule, the same starting point and the same barriers for everyone. Yours won’t. We start by talking through what’s happened before and why it stopped working, and build from there.
Do I need to be a certain level to work with you?
No. I work with complete beginners and with runners who’ve been doing it for years but can’t get consistent. The starting point doesn’t matter; what matters is where you want to get to.
How do I get started?
Book a free introductory call. No obligation; just a conversation about where you are and what you’re working towards.
